First Baptist Preteen Ministry exists to bridge the gap in these transitional years between childhood and adolescence. Our goal is to help fourth and fifth graders navigate their faith as they grow in physical and spiritual maturity.

SUNDAY MORNING

CONNECT GROUPS
8:30, 9:45, 11:00 am  |  Preteen Hall

 

Age-graded classes are offered at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 am every Sunday morning. Join other preteens for Connect groups each week and study God’s word using the Gospel Project.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

PHASE 45
6:15 – 7:45 pm  |  Preteen Rally Room

Doors open at 5:45 to play games and hang out with friends.

Each week, preteens come together to worship, study Scripture, play games, and learn how to use their talents for God’s kingdom. Phase 45 offers several creative tracks for preteens to choose from to learn new skills and develop existing talents. Preteens have the option to change tracks each semester.

New Christians Class

This class is offered to all kids who are new Christians. Kids are required to attend this 2-week class before baptism. These classes meet on Sunday evenings from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and are offered throughout the year. For more information, contact Mark Hayman.

Phase45 Tracks

• Camera Crew: Explore how to worship God through photography! Learn the basics of photography, videography, lighting, and editing from professional photographers!

• Esports 5:22: Discover how you can use the Fruit of the Spirit to guide you as you navigate the world of Esports. Learn how to build a computer, how the computer works, and then play some exciting games!

• Make-it or Bake-it: Where crafting and baking collide! Use your artistic skills to make fun craft projects or bake tasty treats each week.

• P45 Praise Team: Have a blast as you lift your voice to praise God in worship. Learn the fundamentals of leading worship while singing and other fun musical activities in class and on stage during the Wednesday Night Phase 45 worship time.

• Showstoppers: Do you love to act? Learn to declare truths from His Word with confidence as you build speaking and drama skills in a fun atmosphere.

• That’s So Trivial: Celebrate the little things in life that make a big difference! Quirky conversations about everyday moments,  discovering deeper truths in the “small stuff,” and exciting and hilarious trivia games will keep the fun going.

• The Great Outdoors: Love the outdoors and want to learn how to hunt, fish, and camp? While highlighting God’s handiwork in all things and focusing on being boys and girls of integrity, those in this track will have a blast!

• Totally Twirling: Interested in the art of baton twirling? This track will teach you the basic skills and tricks used in twirling routines while learning the value of teamwork, competition, and doing a sport!

• Trailblazers: Becoming Godly Leaders: Explore what it means to be a godly leader in church and in life. Through engaging discussions, real-life examples, and hands-on activities, you’ll learn how to serve others, make wise decisions, and confidently live out your faith, and discover how God can use you to make a difference.

• Woven Gems: Explore the truths of who God created you to be as you were woven together by Him and unpack Psalm 139:13-16. Each week you will be guided through fun lessons and activities as you create and learn about your identity in Christ.
