A Note From OUR Pastor

Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers who helped to make our celebration of the Resurrection such a success last weekend. Over 3,200 people participated in the Egg Hunt at Sanders Ferry Park. Over 9,000 people participated in one of the 10 worship services held over the weekend. It could not have happened without an army of volunteers, and to all of you, I say a heartfelt, “thank you!”
This morning, we will conclude our brief journey through the book of 2 Thessalonians. Today, we will look at 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18.
Next Sunday, we will begin a walk through the Gospel of Matthew. But this one will be a little different from our studies of Mark, Luke, and John. This time, I am going to simply stop at every one of the parables or miracles of Jesus (there are almost 90 of them!) It is a different way to study the book, but my prayer is that the Lord would bless it.

Vacation Bible School is just a couple of months away. It is the biggest and perhaps the most important week of the year. The building will be full of kids, students, and adults every morning. The focus will be on learning about and growing in the Lord.
There are plenty of opportunities to serve in VBS. Teachers, teaching assistants, recreation leaders, decision counselors, and others are needed. Contact a church staff member or call the church office for more information. We would be happy to help you find your place of service.
I join with Pastor Chesser in expressing appreciation to everyone who served last Easter weekend. It was an incredible time of worship, fellowship, evangelism, and more!

Charles Yewell – Charles has been an FBCH member since 2002, and Naomi since 2008. They have three children. Charles is a Senior Financial Analyst for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Naomi works for FBCH as the PreTeen Ministry Assistant. Charles serves in Worship Production in the Student Ministry, and Naomi serves as Preteen Division Director and in Ladies Ministry.
