Update on Jim Kiggans--my son's father-in-law. Jim has cancer in his lymph nodes which metastasized from urinary cancer that he had several years ago. When cancer discovered, the doctor gave him only a few months to live without treatment. Just had a scan after 8 weeks of chemo.

Scan results show that some nodes are smaller, some have remained the same, but none have gotten bigger. Answered prayer that the chemo has worked. Doctor feels that maintenance maybe all that can be accomplished, but family is hopeful and praying that the next 8 weeks show continued improvement.

Jim is able to eat (which is an answer to prayer), actually maintained and gained 2 lbs. (Doctor thought weight loss might continue.)

Jim is starting to go out and walk in the yard and even contemplating a trip to Home Depot with his wife.

For a man whom the doctor gave a few months without treatment, we are encouraged, and still trusting the Lord.

Jim asked me to thank you for your prayers. Thank you for journeying with us. God is great, God is good.

Aug 2 Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for Jim Kiggans. We are trusting that they are being answered and your prayers are such an encouragement to me, Jim, and his family.

Jim had a scan today to access progress. We are praising that the doctor says he can barely feel the lymph nodes that were previously swollen. Jim's eating problems have also improved, much less pain, though he still struggles to maintain weight.

Please pray that the scans prove that the chemo is working. Trusting God for healing.

Thank you!

June 2 Update on Jim Kiggins

I learned he has cancer in multiple lymph nodes but nowhere else. (Praise! Brain scan clear!) It is a metastasis of urinary tract cancer that he had several years back. Jim has been losing weight and doctor hesitant to start chemo because of this. Seeing gastroenterologist tomorrow. Thank you for prayers--God has already answered so many. Please pray that the weight loss issue can be resolved and not interfere with treatment. Pray for good treatment that works. Pray for whole family to feel God's presence and that He be glorified through this. Thank you so much!

Heavenly Father, we remember before you those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work. Guide the people of this land so to use our public and private wealth that all may find suitable and fulfilling employment, and receive just payment for their labor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
