Update 11/12/20 - Please continue to pray for my husband, Ben Everson as he is still recovering from radiation treatment for cancer and in the days ahead as we wait to see if treatment worked.
Update 8/3/20 - Ben has started his radiation treatments. He met with the his radiologist on Friday. Although there is no reason to believe the cancer has spread, they are doing a more aggressive radiation treatment to cover a deeper and wider area to ensure they take care of any seeding that has not shown up on any scans. He is getting 3 rays of radiation, 2 x-rays, and a petscan every time. His side effects will be stronger than what we once thought. He is doing pretty well, just more tired. It will take about 3 or 4 months after treatment is finished to tell whether or not he is completely cancer free. The family is affirming God's presence and care through it all. Thanks so much for your continued prayers!
Update 7/21/20 - Ben had imaging done and the scans showed that his neck and chest were clear of cancer. Praise the Lord! It is localized at stage 2 on his vocal chords. As of right now it looks like it has not spread. He will just have to do radiation at this point. That starts next Tuesday for 6-7 weeks. Drs. said he has a 90-95 percent survival rate and 70-80 % chance they can save his voicebox. Today we got to hear the amazing sound of someone ring a bell at Vandy that had just had their last cancer treatment. Ben is looking forward to ringing that bell one day soon and, God willing, be cancer free. Thank you all so much for all your prayers! Please keep praying.
Update 6/24/2020 - Ben had another biopsy yesterday, it went well. He can't talk again for another 7-10 days. Waiting on results of what was biopsied. Thank you so much for your prayers.
6/19/2020 - We were hoping to receive good news this week about Ben’s biopsy, but did not get the results we were hoping for. Ben does have cancer. He will have to have a 2nd biopsy done in the next couple of weeks or so and a petscan to determine stage. The doctor wants to wait a couple of weeks to let his throat heal from the last biopsy before doing the next one. The last biopsy was on his right vocal chords, the next will be on the left. They will have to do chemo and radiation. We were told it would be a long process. We truly appreciate everyone prayers through all of this. Also please pray for us in the days ahead and also as we share things with Maddie later.

Steve has been diagnosed with leukemia. Thankfully, it is the easiest kind to treat and they are encouraged that the results of treatment are usually very favorable.

Please pray for my Christian friend's 10 year old. She is in excruciating pain in her left arm from a bike wreck.
Her mother wrote:
She broke the bones several inches back from the wrist, in the worst possible way, and almost in the worst possible area for strength support for the bones to heal straight, which they must be, and do, in order to not cause limited movements to the arm and wrist as she ages.

Gracious God. We love you. You are the center of our joy and the strength of our lives. We pray for a return of your people to the fear of the Lord and that the ancient foundations of America be not removed and that you would bring men and women to a place of repentance and forgive our sins. We ask that you give President Trump, his family and administration the mind of Jesus Christ and fill them with your Holy Spirit. Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Protect them from the coronavirus and surround him with Godly council and that all elected officials and world leaders will have wise counsel and have a heart for God. We ask that you will forgive the sins of our land and heal our land. We pray that your will be done in the Presidential Election of the USA and any corruption be exposed. Have mercy on us all. Grant us your peace and direction. We pray for revival in our hearts and churches. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and healing for all of those affected by the coronavirus. Lord in your loving kindness and tender mercies hear our prayers and let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We give you glory for moving by your spirit and answering our prayers. In Jesus name Amen.

Please pray for my dear friend Martina. She has had bad stomach pain for years. For 3 years she has been homebound because she has not had healing. There are people judging her. She has gone into deep depression and says she must not be saved. Please pray for healing and even more that she see the love of God for her. Please pray that God would send Christians to visit her. She needs especially women fellowship. The church she can't go to is mainly men. The men there are sweet widowers and praying for her.
