Update 6/5: Thanks so very much for your prayers and the flood of prayer grams! Please continue to pray. Pray for two important drs appointments - that God will grant mom a wise, discerning, compassionate rheumatologist; that this first appointment will bring some solutions that lead to recovery of function. Also, please pray the same for mom's cardiologist / cardiology appointment. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Update 5/26: Please give praise to God concerning my mom, Juanda. Important tests revealed that she is not in critical condition. God is worthy of praise always. Yet we are thanking Him for this especially because I firmly believe it was His answers to your prayers that made it so. We are still concerned and there are things we must do - must see a cardiologist and a rheumatologist straightaway for two conditions of concern. Please again pray for smart, compassionate, thorough doctors for mom's next steps of care and for her complete healing.

5/25 Request: Prayers asked for my mom, Juanda Johnson (pronounced 'Wanda'), 73 years old. She has severe inflammation in her body. Can hardly get out of bed in the mornings. It takes a 1/2 hour. Her right arm and hand so swollen that she couldn't write or cook or do anything. Pain excruciating. Bringing her to tears. She is seeing a 2nd doctor today after an inconclusive appointment yesterday. Please pray for resolution and restoration of health.

Update on me personally :

I have been undergoing test for an issue on my vocal cords. Just met with surgeon at Vandy , and looks like the lesions need to come off . So will be scheduling surgery in the next few weeks. Hoping for a good outcome , and no invasive cancer.

Prayers asked for Bernard Everson. He had a spell late Tuesday afternoon at his grandson's soccer game, and he is now at St. Thomas Ascension Rutherford. Drs. are running tests on his heart today. Plans are he will be there at least another night. He is doing okay, but they are trying to pinpoint what is going on.

Prayer Update - PRAISE

- I had a Dr appointment this morning with my ENT regarding

a lesion on my vical cord. I was anticipating having to be scheduled for surgery to do a biopsy , but got a good report , and the biopsy wasn’t ordered.

-PTL! The recent images revealed to my Dr. that the lesion appeared to be in the surface and not advancing to deeper tissue. So I’m being referred to Vanderbuilt for further evaluation , and possible laser surgery to remove it.

- Thanks for your prayers , and hopefully will be able to report good new on my next Dr. visit with this surgeon.

May 25 - Hello Friends, I would like to ask for prayer for myself today. My ENT has found a lesion on my vocal cord. At this time they have been doing a study on this, along with some voice therapy

to prepare be for a possible biopsy / surgery. I’m meeting with the Dr. this morning at 8:00 to discuss the plan moving forward. If the biopsy is necessary, I would ask for you to please pray for a benign result, and favorable outcome to preserve my voice quality.

Thank you in advance for your faithful prayers in the past , and I will give you an update as I know what’s coming up.

My sister, Linda Bower (Portland TN) is in need of prayers for healing - physically and emotionally. Her daughter passed away unexpectedly in March. On her way to FL to settle things for her daughter, her vehicle was hit by a large, commercial dump truck in Gallatin TN. The accident totaled her vehicle. She has many injuries resulting from the accident requiring surgery. She is strong in her faith and trusts Jesus for recovery knowing that He is in control. Please remember her in prayer for healing and encouragement.

Please pray for my husband Ben, his appointment tomorrow, May 23 for his throat cancer check-up. The original spot where the cancer was looks great. The doctors are a bit concerned with another anomaly on the other vocal cord. We are hoping it is just scaring from the radiation and agitated by allergies. Please pray for this and that they will be able to get a clear picture of his throat. Thank you!
