Sermon on the Mount

What does it mean to be a citizen of the kingdom of Heaven? In this Bible study, Jen Wilkin will lead us in understanding how the Sermon on the Mount articulates what the life of a Christ-follower should look like, asking us the same questions it posed to its original hearers: How should a disciple relate to sin? To others? To the Law? How does a disciple think, speak, and act? Examine the word of Jesus in-depth as He challenges us to think differently about repentance, salvation, and sanctification.

Making Room: A Study on Biblical Hospitality

The word “hospitality” conjures up for us images of a spotless home, a gourmet meal and a scenic tablescape. Yet, in the Bible, hospitality is the simple, every day, practice of making room for others. Our Wednesday Night Ladies Bible Study will feature 12 sessions and 12 facilitators who will lead us in exploring different aspects of the practice of Biblical hospitality.

This is an open, “drop-in” Bible study. No resource to buy. Ladies may attend as many sessions as schedules permit. Age-appropriate activities for your children are provided at the church.

The Books of 1, 2 & 3 John

Comfortable Christianity often means a weak Christianity. In this study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. In a world that hates Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a fierce love.

Raising a Modern Day Knight

Beginning with a biblical perspective of manhood, author-pastor Robert Lewis shares a unique approach to shaping a boy into a man by equipping him with three essential elements: a vision, a code of conduct, and a transcendent cause (Christianity) in which to invest his life. The series, hosted by RMDK author, Robert Lewis and Family-Life founder, Dennis Rainey, is a 6-part study for me based on the best-selling Focus on the Family book, Raising a Modern Day Knight.
