“WE WILL NOT HIDE THESE TRUTHS FROM OUR CHILDREN; WE WILL TELL THE NEXT GENERATION ABOUT THE GLORIOUS DEEDS OF THE LORD, ABOUT HIS POWER AND HIS MIGHTY WONDERS.” -PSALM 78:4

First Baptist 55+ Adult Ministry exists to provide an encouraging atmosphere to allow Senior Adults to fellowship together, grow in their relationship with the Lord, engage in ministry opportunities, and find community with other individuals in the same season of life.

We are a church that connects every generation, and it is our desire to help you find a place to pass on wisdom, encouragement, and service to the generations that have come after you. There is a place for everyone, of every age.

Sunday Morning:

Connect Groups are where we find community. Gather together on Sunday morning at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 am to study Scripture with fellow senior adults. There are co-ed and gender specific classes for all age groups at each hour. There’s even some that meet during the week!

Wednesday Night:

Equipping classes are our Wednesday night Bible studies. This is a great opportunity to dive into topical studies, groups catered to seasons of life, or even serve! A few groups meeting during the week day as well, so check out the link below to see all the Equipping Classes we are currently offering.

Thursday Mornings @ the FMC:

Thursday Morning Gathering is a recreation ministry for 55+ Adults of both First Baptist Hendersonville and the greater community. Organized by our Recreation Ministry team, Jake Poore and Taylor Dartt, Thursday Morning Gathering is an opportunity to get fit, discover new skills and interests, enjoy the many recreational benefits of the Family Ministry Center, and connect with friends old and new.

Topical classes and guest speakers feature regularly on the schedule, so keep checking back to see what’s new in the line up!
