The mission of the First Baptist Worship Ministry is to allow followers of Christ the opportunity to use their God-given creative gifts to honor and praise our Creator! There are many opportunities found within our worship ministry to praise the Lord.
Our worship choir leads in worship during all Sunday morning services. We also present a number of special seasonal presentations throughout the year. We invite you to come worship with us during rehearsal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. It is our prayer that our worship overflows from Wednesday night into our Sunday morning services each week. For questions, contact Meg Womack : firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our 11:00 a.m. worship services are led by a praise team, praise band, and worship choir. A placement meeting and audition are required for anyone interested in being a part of the praise team or praise band. For questions, contact Josh Waugh : email@example.com.
Our Worship Orchestra plays every Sunday morning during our 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. services. The orchestra is open to adults and high school students who have experience in band or orchestra. We invite you to come worship with us on Wednesday nights. Rehearsals are in Room 260 at 6:00 p.m. For questions, contact Meg Womack: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Worship opportunities for preschoolers and children through 5th Grade are offered weekly during the school year on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. God’s gift of music is an awesome way to praise our Heavenly Father and to teach children God’s Word. Additionally, we strive to share the joy of making music and train children musically and spiritually to be future youth and adult leaders in the church and community. For questions, contact Katie Lawrence: email@example.com.
Students grades 6 and up have the opportunity throughout the school year to lead and serve in a variety of different outlets. Our goal is that they may grow in their love and knowledge of the Lord, while also using their gifts to proclaim the name of Jesus. Youth Choir meets on Sunday afternoons from 5:30 – 6: 30 p.m. in the Weekley Building, Room 2209. For questions, contact Katie Lawrence: firstname.lastname@example.org.
