Rites of Passage Experience

The reality is, parents are the greatest spiritual influencer in the life of their children. However, without an intentional plan to pass down your faith, it won’t just happen on its own. The Rites of Passage Experience allows you as the parent to walk through a grade-based strategic milestone that does several things:

Communicates

Communicates clearly to your teenager that you understand where they are in life and you want to walk them through that essential milestone.

Helps

Helps keep communication open with your teenager from 6th through 12th grade.

Serves

Serves as a catalyst toward maturity in life and in faith for your teenager.

Gives

Gives you a strategic plan to INVEST in your teenager.

Please watch this video to better understand the vision behind The Rites of Passage Experience, and then read through the instructions in the next section.

Listed below are the links to each Rite of Passage Experience:

6th Grade: Prep. for Adolescence

You will spend five nights together discussing the changes that will happen in your teenager’s body, mind, and soul over the next few years.

7th Grade: The Blessing

Gather friends and family to honor your 7th grader and help them understand their transition out of childhood into adulthood.

8th Grade: The Purity Weekend

Get away with your 8th grader for a weekend and share with them your dreams for them in the area of sexual purity.

9th Grade: Driving Contract

In preparation for the driver’s license, you will work with them on the idea they will be getting more than the keys to the car, in gaining trust.

10th Grade: Money Matters

Spend an evening investing in your teenager by helping them understand God’s plan for handling money.

11th Grade: Family Tree

Give your teenager an understanding of who they are by showing them where they came from.

12th Grade: Manhood/Womanhood Ceremony

Unleash your teenager into adulthood with a Biblical understanding of who they are as a man or woman of God.

Thank you for the investment you are making in your teenager. I have yet to find a parent who’s mom or dad walked them through each of these while they were a teenager, but every parent says they would have loved it if they did!

You have the opportunity to be a catalyst in your family for generations by influencing your teenager who will then have a vision to influence the generations to come!
